Two-Year-Old Nursery 2026 - 2027

Welcome to our Nursery, a warm, nurturing and engaging environment specially designed to support the needs, interests and development of our two-year-old children. 

The nursery is set up as an open planned room, which allows the children to access a wide range of resources including sand and water play, small world imaginary play, mark making and creative play, our ever-popular home corner and a quiet, cosy area where children can share a story, look at a book or access our sensory toys. 

 Learning in Nursery is led through child-initiated play and our carefully planned continuous provision. We want your child to be curious, confident and caring, and this approach gives children the freedom to follow their interests, make choices, develop independence, and take ownership of their own learning journey. 

 Our planning follows and supports all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage, concentrating on the prime areas of Physical Development, Communication and Language, and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. We plan open-ended, fun activities that engage all children both indoors and outdoors, exploring different themes throughout the year. We share stories, nursery rhymes, and action songs on a daily basis. 

We have our own secure area for outdoor learning where we can run, climb and play every day no matter what the weather throws at us. We have our own trikes and ride on vehicles that are great fun and our newly installed climbing frame and tunnel. 

 In addition to this area we also have access to the school grounds where we can explore in the forest, make dens, play hide and seek and join together to play our absolute favourite game which is jumping in the muddy puddles! 

The nursery morning session starts at 8:45 until 11:45 The nursery afternoon session starts at 12:30 until 15:30 The all-day session is from 8:45 until 15:30 and until 11:45 on a Friday.  Children will require a funding code prior to starting nursery which can be obtained via https://www.beststartinlife.gov.uk.
