Art in Year 2 - Friday 10th October 2025

On Friday 10th October 2025, the Year 2 children studied Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky, the Russian painter and art theorist. Kandinsky is generally credited as one of the pioneers of abstraction in western art. Born in Moscow, he began painting studies at the age of 30 after a career change as previously he had been a lawyer. The children enjoyed creating their own abstract paintings in the style of Kandinsky.
