Award Winners, Science in Year 2, Chinese New Year Celebrations and Year 4 Valentines Hearts - Friday 13th February 2026

A great end to the half term on Friday 13th February 2026. We celebrated our Sue Dean Creative Writing Award winner fromYear 6 and the Rotary Club Award winner from Year 6 for our school.

The Year 2 children enjoyed learning more about bridges and the materials that make them strong in their science lesson. They learned how materials can be changed to alter their structure and make them more robust.

The children tested their bridges with some toy cars and demonstrated they are amazing engineers as all the of bridges were successfully standing after their testing.

Mrs Taylor and Year 4 shared love hearts around our school illustrating our school vision of "May all we do be done with love". The Valentines fun was enjoyed across our school.

Members of our Two Year Old Nursery enjoyed celebrating the Chinese New Year with a parade of the dragon gthey made for the Year of the Horse!
