Oracy Event - Monday 29th June 2026

Two of our talented Year 6 children participated in the final SHARES Lancashire Oracy Event of this academic year, at Lathom High School.

The theme for this event was: "Should children under 13 be allowed to use social media?"

Pupils took part in a live debate, sharing their views either for or against the topic. The pupils had to prepare a short speech in advance, outlining their opinion and reasons for their viewpoint.

Each pupil was given approximately 1–2 minutes to present their speech during the event. Our talented twosome delivered their speeches and were utterly brilliant.
