Science in Year 2, Boccia event and the Year 5 and 6 Park Run - Tuesday 17th March 2026

The Year 2 children have been learning all about microhabitats on Tuesday 18th March 2026. They discussed why living things live in these habitats and why they are suited to them  providing their basic needs. They took advantage of our lovely school grounds and went exploring through our wooded area, to see if they could find any mini beasts. The children were encouraged to think scientifically by asking questions, observing, identifying and classifying.  They independently gathered information so they could record their findings once back in the classroom.

In the afternoon, some of our Year 5 children participated in boccia event at Banks Leisure Centre and some of our Year 5 and 6 athletes ran in the sun at the Skelmersdale Park Run.
