STEM Club and Year 2 Learning on Friday 16th January 2026

On Friday 16th January 2026  the STEM Club children had an incredible time starting the third stage of their maze boards. Over the past weeks, the children have had to design, measure, estimate and follow instructions to create their puzzle. As well as working independently they have had to use their communication skills to work as a team. The children are looking forward to finishing this project and moving onto another exciting challenge. 

The Year 2 children have been captivated by the author Eric Carle and his work.  As they know many of his books, they have enjoyed learning where he gets his inspiration from and how he creates the enchanting images we all love and enjoy. The children created their own collage.  Using their imaginations, they demonstrated their scissor and glue skills which promotes hand and eye coordination. They have created beautiful unique pictures which have expressed their own individual perception of art.
