The Year 6 children attended an Aspiration Day at Trafford Hall with NCRC, Positive Footprints, Ecogee and M&Y. This inspiring day designed for Year 6 children, gave them the chance to learn in a completely different landscape. They engaged in green based activities with a careers-led approach. in the Save the Agent* activity they embarked on a high-stakes mission to rescue a stranded secret agent. Providing them an opportunity to work as a team, use problem-solving skills plus survival instincts. This outdoor activity included physical challenges, mental puzzles plus practical skills in a dynamic and engaging scenario. They had the opportunity to learn the skills of fire lighting, shelter building and map reading. In the Green Career Carousel they met businesses who have jobs linked to the environment, sustainability etc. This was hosted by Centrica/British Gas who ran their Get Set for Positive Energy sessions. One session is based on Renewable Energy and the other focuses on Sustainable Communities.

A great day was enjoyed by the children and the adults.
